Key Accountabilities

The key responsibilities of the role include:

EIR Processes (50%)

- Assist on modelling and calculation of EIR and apply analytical concepts to bring P&L figures to life.

- Operate the governance and controls over the EIR process

- Be a SME on FC modelling and data sourcing initiative, specifically how all SAS systems work

- Streamline and lean the process and interaction between this role and all team which use the outputs of the process

- Develop innovative opportunities to improve processes/products and exceed customer expectations.

- Strong relationships in place with all key stakeholders.

- Prepare material and deliver as appropriate in various situations from induction to senior executive.

- Respond and resolve issues arising out of work or from within the team across departments that may have a bearing on team effectiveness

Relationship & Stakeholder Management (20%)

- Manage and develop effective relationships with Business Units, other functions in wider finance

- Liaise with key stakeholders across the business units to identify common issues, opportunities for improvements and act as a central subject matter expert

- Communicate process changes and share knowledge required to successfully implement necessary changes

Advisory & Consultative (30%)

- Support business units providing expert help and guidance including accounting issues

- Ensure consistency of approach across the Business units

Stakeholder Management and Leadership

- Manage and develop effective relationships with Business Units, other functions in wider finance

- Liaise with key stakeholders across the business units to identify common issues, opportunities for improvements and act as a central subject matter expert

- Communicate process changes and share knowledge required to successfully implement necessary changes

Decision-making and problem solving

- Analyse financial judgements, assumptions and information for the purpose of concluding financial implication

- Support in investigating and resolving problems, issues and queries, liaising with customers, suppliers as appropriate

- Provide innovative judgement which can be contributed as part of the decision making process

Essential skills:

Technical Knowledge:

- Either a graduate degree in engineering like B.E or B. Tech, or with similar computing knowledge.

- Intermediate User and Developer of SAS tools - SAS Data Integration Studio, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Macros.

Experience:

- Strong post qualification experience

- Background in Finance / Banking

Skills Required:

Essential:

- Either a graduate degree in engineering like B.E or B. Tech, or with similar computing knowledge.

- Intermediate User and Developer of SAS tools - SAS Data Integration Studio, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Macros.

- Familiarity with SAS Management Console, IBM Flow Manager and Process Automation

- Proficient in MS Excel. VBA coding is a plus.

- Knowledge and experience in Python, Alteryx, R is an added advantage.

- Knowledge and experience of both Financial Control and Risk Management Processes and Systems is a plus.

- Strong control awareness - in particular, the individual should be able to identify initiatives which they have led which has directly improved the control environment for the area they work in

- Strong understanding and has the mindset to strive to identify potential control breakdowns in process, also demonstrated with effective procedure manuals

- Ability to streamline processes in a most efficient manner within the team.

Language:

Ability to speak / write English fluently

Preferred skills:

- Experience in Modelling, business knowledge on Loan originations as per BUK Banking Products like Mortgages and Consumer Lending.

- End to End Process model change experience i.e. the full project lifecycle including testing, reconciliation, user acceptance and post-implementation review/ support

- Have knowledge in model change, model validation and Documentation as per Group Risk Model Documentation Policy
