AVP - Risk & Control - BFSI

- Collaboration with Business line, Support teams and Key Stakeholders onshore and in India

- Implement checks and balances within internal policies, processes, Dashboards, Reporting and Documentation

- Drive Vendor Risk Management and Establishing ERM framework

- Ensure continuing Monitoring of the Key KRI- S and Incidents and Rising Alerts are right time

- Managing business risks through a process of consultation and engagement with various stakeholders in Operations, Clients and Technology suppliers and partners. The position is required to adopt a partnership approach to understand underlying operations and recommend appropriate and fit-for-purpose practices in the below domains.

Key Accountabilities

- Conduct risk & control assessment for all OpCos & enabling functions in accordance with defined requirements

- Perform gap analysis, conduct testing of potential risk areas and identify reportable issues

- Drive, Monitor & Enhance Vendor compliance framework including policy review, contract review, vendor selection review, billing review etc.

- Driving Risk Review and Management Review Meetings

- Actively participates in the development of Risk & Internal Control policies ensuring that they are relevant to

- Develop and implement appropriate operating procedures to ensure compliance code of Ethics and provide management with periodic reports

- Ensure that consistent and standard practices are followed for all external dealings

- Periodically provide training and guidance to staffs on Internal Controls (build awareness)

- Annual Risk and Control Self Awareness Exercise

- Handling the Statutory Auditors and coordination with Internal Audits team

- Perform risk scenario quantification as required under Solvency II

- Define/Monitor/Measure risk appetite & tolerance limits

- Accountable for managing the implementation and monitoring of the Operational Risk Management framework to identify, assess and mitigate operational risk that arises from inadequate or failed internal processes, people, systems or external events.

- Measuring efficiency of existing controls and recommending controls enhancing process

- Ensure that all significant issues have an appropriate level of visibility at Executive level.

- Perform Risk assessment for critical applications and business processes.

- Publish/Monitor/Track KRI

Qualifications

- Overall work experience of 12+ years

- Education: MBA/CA

- Advanced degree and audit background preferred

- Certifications in the control self-assessment or any other related certifications

- Prior work experience in a consulting firm or top IT and ITES companies in India or abroad would be a plus

- Specific position related experience

- Ability to manage sensitive information and exercise discretion

- Proven issue resolution skills

- Maturity and credibility to impact and influence senior management and stakeholders

- Collaborative with ability to manage relationships across multiple functional areas

Specific Knowledge required :

- Extensive knowledge and understanding of Internal control/assurance review tools & practices and operational risk and compliance

- Extensive knowledge in developing & implementing control self-assessment tool & mechanism

- Experience in analyzing business processes and developing and implementing practical approaches and recommendations for improvement.

- Any professional certifications such as FRM would be preferred.

- Knowledge of Compliance.

- Prior work experience in a consulting firm or top IT and ITES companies in India or abroad would be a plus.

- Prior experience in a similar role in the insurance, investment banking and financial services industry would be a plus.
