To lead and manage the BAU team responsible for the production of the Group & HBEU prudential PRA returns, capital adequacy, and RWA information for the Board and AR&A and Regulatory MI to other finance areas
Job Description :
- To lead and manage the BAU team responsible for the production of the London site RWA numbers & Group & HBEU prudential PRA returns, capital adequacy, and RWA information for the Board and AR&A and Regulatory MI to other finance areas
- Coordinate and support Regulatory Reporting team, provide guidance and act as subject matter expert (SME) with regard to RWA reporting under PRA
- Provide advice and guidance to business areas on the treatment of products and transactions for regulatory purposes.
- To assist in the system and process enhancement in the business for production of regulatory information
- To oversee the preparation and review of the returns for submission to the PRA
- To oversee the preparation and review of the analysis and commentary on consolidated Group regulatory capital and risk weighted assets
- To initiate and direct improvements to the regulatory reporting process to ensure resources are utilized efficiently and effectively
- To provide guidance to business areas/sites on regulatory reporting issues (after review by line manager, where applicable)
- To work effectively with the Group Regulatory Reporting team and the rest of Global Finance
- To liaise effectively with other business areas/sites in order to create/maintain successful working relationships;
- To share information, both vertically and horizontally, within Regulatory Reporting
- Continually assess the operational risks inherent to the process, taking account of operating procedures, staff movements, legal & regulatory requirements
- Adherence to Group policies, audit, controls and compliance requirements.
Skills/Experience Required :
- Qualified accountant( CA/ICWA) or MBA Finance from a reputed institute with 8-10 yrs. or M.com or equivalent degree with 8-12 yrs. experience in Reporting/ Analysis
- Excellent communication skills, including experience of explaining complex technical matters simply and succinctly
- Team management skill is a must
- Good understanding on derivative products underlying risk assessments viz., market risk, counterparty credit risk
- Experience that demonstrates ability to learn and apply complex/technical rules/frameworks, for example Basel 3, product/model valuation etc
- Previous employment with a Financial Institution
- Experience working in/with an organisation that handles complex products (i.e. complexity of accounting, valuation, reporting, risk assessment etc)
- Experience of working with colleagues cross-border in a multinational organization
- Working/detailed knowledge of Operational framework/rules
Additional Information / Specific Skills (If Any) :
- Good understanding on Counterparty Credit (CCR) & Market Risk (MR) RWA calculations as per Basel III norms
- Good understanding on CEM Exposure, Internal Model Method & MR Standard charges calculation
- Good understanding on Global Market products i.e. OTC Derivatives, Securities Financing Transactions
