About our Client - Our client is a leading Investment Bank and to bring their business to greater heights, they are looking for a talented and experienced leader to join them as an Assistant Vice President - Project Management within their Finance team.

Job Description - The Project Manager would be responsible for the success of the Project. Projects would typically deliver technology and process change into specific product areas. Core responsibilities would include:

- Responsible for Project planning, steering and execution of single work stream within a larger Project or Programme or small scale projects

- Tracks project progress against agreed milestones and re-plans when necessary

- Manages the project team, identifies resource requirements and, with the Programme manager, procures required resources

- Ensures financial accountability against approved budget

- Provides regular Programme transparency by reporting project status via appropriate tools such as project dashboards and Sharepoint

- Manages negotiations and prioritization effectively

- Identifies risks and issues and defines actions to mitigate; escalates issues as appropriate

The Successful Candidate - You are a confident and qualified MBA with at least 7+ years of work experience. Prior experience in Project Management within the Investment Banking industry is mandatory. You will have excellent analytical skills with the ability to demonstrate flexibility regarding problem solving. You are fully conversant with the fundamentals of Change the Bank offerings within the Finance space of an Investment Bank. Your communication and interpersonal skills are excellent and you have a track record of being adaptable and culturally aware. Experience of working in a global environment preferable.
