This a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end development of solar projects, from concept to commissioning. This position plays a crucial role in driving the growth of the company's solar portfolio, identifying project opportunities, conducting feasibility studies, securing permits, and ensuring successful project execution.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Project Identification and Opportunity Assessment:
- Identify potential solar project opportunities by analyzing market trends, government policies, and renewable energy incentives.
- Conduct initial assessments to evaluate the feasibility and financial viability of potential projects.
2. Site Selection and Land Acquisition:
- Lead the process of site selection for solar projects, considering factors such as solar irradiance, grid connection, and environmental impact.
- Manage land acquisition negotiations and agreements with landowners or relevant authorities.
3. Financial Analysis and Project Planning:
- Conduct detailed financial analysis, including project cost estimation, revenue forecasting, and return on investment (ROI) assessment.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets.
4. Permitting and Regulatory Compliance:
- Manage the permitting process for solar projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Obtain necessary approvals and permits from relevant authorities.
5. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including government agencies, utility companies, community representatives, and environmental organizations.
- Build positive relationships and address concerns to facilitate smooth project development.
6. Project Financing and Contracting:
- Collaborate with finance and legal teams to secure project financing and negotiate contracts with suppliers, contractors, and other partners.
- Mitigate project risks and ensure favorable terms.
7. Commissioning and Handover:
- Oversee the commissioning process to ensure successful project completion and grid integration.
- Facilitate a smooth handover to the operations and maintenance (O&M) team.
8. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Establish performance metrics to monitor project performance and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare regular progress reports for senior management and stakeholders.
