Reporting to the Vice President- Product Control, your major responsibilities would be:
- Analyzing weekly P&L with detailed presentation to management directed towards position movements
- Monitoring and analyzing daily movements in positions in each rates and credit books and understanding desk strategy for update to senior management
- Continuous liaising with traders and discussions on breaks/abnormalities
- Market risk positions- and movements- commentaries to be discussed with internal stakeholders
- Month end closing of accounts and balance sheet sign off
- Working with junior staff to get them understand products, processes and controls that are in place and helping them move faster up the learning curve
- Implementing fair value hierarchy and other requirements of IAS 39 and FAS 133
- Supervise month end close process, ensuring ledger closure as per expected P&L and balance sheet
- Review of all FO - BO - GL reconciliation and approval of all month end journal entries
- Working closely with Valuation Control and Front Office for all month end adjustments
- Involvement in due diligence process for the roll out of new products
Desired Candidate Profile:
You are a CA/CFA- 5 Plus years experience in the product control space
- Extensive knowledge of both middle office and front office processes in interest rate and FX linked derivatives is highly advantageous
- Strong knowledge on credit default swaps, credit valuation adjustment, debt valuation adjustment, vanilla derivatives with overnight index swaps is must
- Strong understanding in pricing models with a greater stress on understanding of parametric inputs
- Strong technical knowledge of the asset classes
- Hands on experience with Bloomberg and Reuters in key markets data sets & using pricing functions
- Strong hands on experience with MS Excel financial functions and experience in writing macros.
