Skills and Experience Required:

- Technical Competencies: Thorough knowledge of SMS (Steel Melting Shop) & RMD (Raw Material Division) Operations. Able to execute new projects.

- Behavioral Competencies: Strong team building and leadership skills, a track record of strategic thinking, and high-quality execution.

- Experience: A total of 25+ years of work experience with a minimum of the latest 20+ years in a similar industry.

Qualification: B-Tech/BE in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Key Responsibilities:

- Achieve production targets for SMS, RMD, and Cut & Bend operations.

- Ensure zero Lost Time Injuries (LTI) in safety (EHS).

- Maintain zero customer complaints regarding service quality.

- Optimize heat-wise production and quality in the ERP system by a specified date.

- Implement cost control initiatives to achieve 5% savings on capital and operational expenses.

- Provide leadership and managerial training on a quarterly basis.

- Complete the implementation of barcoding on the TMT module by a specified date.

- Ensure timely completion of new projects.

- Drive continuous innovation to enhance production.

Desired Outcome:

- Achieve production targets as follows: SMS - 80,000, RMD - 220,000, Cut & Bend - 8,700.

- No Lost Time Injuries (LTI) in safety.

- Zero customer complaints.

- Complete ERP optimization by the specified date.

- Achieve 5% savings on capital and operational expenses.

- Conduct quarterly leadership and managerial training.

- Implement barcoding on the TMT module by the specified date.

- Complete new projects according to timelines.

Additional Information:

- The job is in an integrated steel plant with 22-25 years of experience.

- This role is second in line for plant management.

- The candidate should have experience in induction furnace, arc furnace, rolling mill TMT, and overall plant administration.

- The plant is located near Tirupati (Naidupeta).

- The plant has a planned capacity of 20,000 tons per month.

- The plant employs 700 people, including contract and staff members.

- Relocation candidates are acceptable, and the area has good schools.
