My Client is world's leader into Investment Banking Space.
As an AVP, you will be responsible for delivering on specific tasks, reporting requirements and support projects for Investment Bank Finance and Business Management team
This will include:
- Design, develop and support various monthly / quarterly reporting around EMR's, Performance reports, expense, headcount and Balance Sheet to support various senior management discussions
- Includes preparing & driving periodic performance reporting
- Ability to understand the changing business needs, redesign MIS and provide relevant analysis
- Support ad hoc requests from the business and senior management
- Supporting quarterly business reviews across levels (region, product, and geography)
- Support preparation and analysis of Asia results during annual budgeting process
- Team management responsibilities including but not limited to supervision of daily work, providing feedback, appraisals, managing timely escalations etc
- Partner with onshore team members to assist on various strategic organic and inorganic initiatives and support the team on Mission critical projects
- Leading and driving projects and initiatives across teams
- On-going relationship management with controllers, product P&A teams and work closely with other teams within Mumbai and across the globe
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proactive involvement in the business & projects supported
Qualifications and Competencies:
- An MBA (Finance) / Qualified CA
- Candidate should have at least 5 years of post qualification experience with exposure to the banking industry. Previous P&A / Management reporting experience is preferred.
- Ability to build strong partnerships across the stakeholder groups at onshore location and within Mumbai through a proactive, and strong communication skills
- Strong communication skills - confident and organized with the ability to provide reasoning to senior management team
- Solid organizational skills with ability to consolidate and analyze data received from multiple sources and translate it into relevant metrics/ MIS report that drives decision making
- Highly effective time management skills - Ability to meet strict deadlines; manage multiple tasks concurrently in an efficient and effective manner with minimal supervision
- Ability to work as part of a team and to lead a team, share information and support colleagues
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of work
- Good problem solving & execution skills
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, strong interest in learning, effective under pressure and willing to take personal responsibility / accountability
- Excellent MS Excel (data manipulation, macros, v-lookups, pivot tables) / MS Access/ MS PowerPoint skill sets
- Working knowledge of MIS tools like Essbase, Paragon, Business Objects, Cognos will be an added advantage.
