About our Client - Our client is one of the leading Financial Institution globally. As a part of expansion in their global business, they are looking for a seasoned professional to join their team as AVP in their operational risk function.

Job Description - Reporting into the Head of Internal Controls, you would be responsible for identifying & mitigating risks across diverse processes. Your key responsibilities shall include:

- Evaluate operational risk and internal control effectiveness across diverse finance functions across product control, financial control, regulatory reporting, etc

- Identify areas of risk and undertake risk assessments to suggest changes in the regulatory compliance framework and sanction processes of the bank

- Support the implementation of operational risk assessments (RCAs) across the diverse functions to identify the key process risks & determine the effectiveness of operational controls

- Plan and initiate control testing to identify key control weaknesses, and to ensure that the underlying risks are mitigated adequately and effectively Implement effective operational risk oversight & quality assurance over control testing and SOX compliance

The Successful Candidate - You must be a CA/CPA/ICWA with at least 10 years of post-qualification experience within the operational risk domain in a financial service setup

- A strong understanding and practical experience of Risk and Control disciplines, including COSO Framework, SOX and RCSA is critical

- Strong background of conducting operational risk assessments for diverse finance functions such product control, financial control, regulatory reporting, etc

- Strong interpersonal skills ability to develop relationships partnership with peers in the operational risk functions outside business unit and central operational risk management group, SOX Office and other such risk subject matter experts
