- Ensure that robust risk governance exists and ensuring all stakeholders have visibility of key risks and remediation activity;
- Monitoring risk appetite in line with business requirements;
- Assist in providing high quality and efficient reviews of Business Services control performance;
- Facilitating controls remediation where required;
- Raising awareness and understanding of risks, controls and risk management;
- Continuously improving the control and monitoring of risk, including behaviors.

KNOWLEDGE
- Detailed understanding of their own business service
- Good relationship management, and influencing skills with experience of positive, challenging interactions with senior management.
EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in Operations or Risk Management

- Communication - Ability to present complex issues confidently and concisely to senior management, Global HOST Management team and key stakeholders using simple language and accommodating globally distributed stakeholders
- Analysis/strategy - Ability to distill complex and varied information into useful, insightful and concise recommendations.
- Drive and self-motivation
- Proactive and delivery focused to ensure individual tasks are completed on time and to the required levels of quality.
- Ability and drive to successfully deliver multiple, wide-ranging priorities, often under stringent time pressures in a dynamic environment
- Good planning, and organization skills
- Make considered decisions that protect and enhance HSBC values, reputation, and business.
The following, whilst not essential, would be advantageous:-
- Ability to build senior relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively with senior management, key stakeholder, and internal management teams.
- A Clear understanding of, and experience in managing operational risk.
