Considering the aspects of Climate Risk, the candidate should have experience in Natural Catastrophe Modeling (across floods, wildfire, tropical cyclones and landslides). There should also be experience in Credit Risk Strategy and should be well-versed with nuances of climate models (physical and transition risk), strategy development, strategy enhancement, strategy deployment support, strategy monitoring, portfolio deep dive and ad hoc analysis. - There is a need to engage with the wider Risk functions as well as Products, Finance etc. and conduct significant research to dig deeper in the aspects of Physical and Transition Risk Models and Data. - The role will involve generating visualisations/insights on the portfolio, considering what's at risk from a climate perspective in case of new business and informing interventions in line with observed trends. - Given that the models are run in Python, intermediate technical experience on the same is required. - Strong analytical, science and/or mathematical-based background with ability and interest in applying that expertise to developing new data solutions - Excellent analytical skills and comfortable working large datasets; able to perform de-trending and key data trigger point analysis - Minimum 6-10 years of hands-on analytics experience solving complex business problems using data. - PhD or Master's degree from reputed university in climate related topics is preferred else statistics, economics or any other quantitative fields. - Strong analytical skills with business analysis experience or equivalent. In-depth knowledge and understanding of financial-services/ banking-operations is a must. - Strong understanding of consumer lending products like credit cards, mortgages, loans & overdrafts is a must. - In depth hands on exposure in core credit risk management and analytics in retail banking or financial institutions. - Excellent communication skills with technical (the team) and non-technical (senior management in region) counterparts - being able to "translate" between the two worlds is essential.
