AVP-Lead Merchandising & eSales
Reporting to -Head eCommerce Business Operations
The Merchandising & eSales Lead has significant revenue responsibility and the candidate must have managed a P&L responsibility of at least 100 Crore in the past. The role is responsible for significant new customer growth and sales (devices and price plans) via the web/digital properties
Key Responsibilities
Merchandising
- Responsible for all aspects of on-site merchandising including landing pages, product recommendations, cross sell opportunities, A/B & MVT testing
- Oversee development of the Digital Merchandising roadmap by aligning with marketing and promotions strategies and by prioritising digital platforms.
- Leverage internal partnerships and a high-performing team to develop best-in-class digital merchandising content
- Oversee the design, production, and execution of digital displays and product merchandising content
eSales
- Develop a commercial sales and profit plan. Monitor and report against target, taking actions for negative variances.
- Recruit, manage and develop a team of ecommerce and merchandise managers.
- Lead the strategy in developing an online product, pricing and promotional plan, working closely with the various internal teams.
- Manage the ecommerce day to day operation
- Manage the ecommerce team to deliver all aspects of the online experience whilst driving customer acquisition, retention and multichannel shopping behavior.
- Champion E-commerce within the business ensuring integration across strategy, plans and processes.
- Develop and install procedures and control to promote effective communication and adequate information flow cross functionally.
Educational Qualifications
- Graduate in any specialization
- Masters in Business Administration in Marketing, from a premier institute
Years of Experience- 10+ years
Candidates with experience with:
Online Retailers (Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal)
Digital Banks
Airlines
Travel Portals
Should have handled a large team
Good track record in improving eSales
Knowledge & Skills:
- Online/e-Commerce B2C Sales and Marketing experience from Telco (Operator), Mobile/Smartphone, IT Hardware or Consumer Technology sectors or specifically online Retailers focused on Mobile, Smartphone or Consumer Tech
- e-Commerce experience driving large direct online sales P&Ls (above 100 Crore Rupees as minimum).
- Sales - and strategy planning
- Leadership experience - proven track record in developing high performance teams
- Ability to recruit, manage and motivate high performance teams with differing profiles and levels of experience
- Leading edge knowledge on eCommerce field (sales, conversions, AOV)
