AVP - Legal - BFSI

- Experience Level – 12+ years

- Qualification - LLB

- Location – Chennai

- Reporting to – VP Legal

- The candidate should have sound knowledge of Code of Civil procedure, Code of Criminal Procedure, Indian Penal Code, Companies Act, SARFAESI Act 2002, Transfer of Property Act. The candidate should also be conversant with state laws.

- The candidate should have excellent written language skills in English and Proficiency in regional and national language would be an added advantage

- The candidate should have profound legal knowledge, drafting skills, should be conversant in court matters (civil and criminal) and court processes of the state.

- The candidate should have analytical skills, Negotiation and Liasioning skills and should be well read.

- Role involves handling customer disputes that have a potential of transforming into litigation against the bank

- Responsible for all suit filed accounts of the branch and Liasioning with advocates.

- Laisoning with court officials & DRT Recovery Inspector and Recovery Officer.

- Rendering legal opinion on various aspects of Law & practice, regulatory compliance, Court matters including Writs, recovery suits, Company matters, DRT proceedings etc.

- Follow up of all litigation matters so as to ensure speedier disposal of matters in Bank's favour.

- Scrutiny of title deeds in respect of securities offered to the Bank and giving legal opinion on enforceability.

- Recovery of NPA accounts

- The role involves travel and outdoor activities within the city /outskirts.
