AVP - Invoice Management - BFSI

Looking for candidate from INVESTMENT BANKING background.

Overall purpose of role

- To be a hands-on and accountable leader for the Operations Team in the Invoice and Payments processing area

- To be a key point of contact for business escalations and act as a subject expert within the Invoice Management & Payment Processing function of Operations

- The candidate is expected to be a business expert, familiar with the end-to-end invoicing workflow, payment operations, policy and procedures as well as exception handling

Key Accountabilities

- Direct accountability of process performance, people management and operational deliverables

- SLA/metric improvement, procedural compliance, control effectiveness and risk mitigation

- Monitor daily/weekly checklist to ensure activity completion and procedure adherence

Stakeholder Management and Leadership

- Lead inter and intra department co-ordination to enable effective payment on time

- Lead periodic service reviews with stakeholders as per expectations and handle escalations if any

- Proactively engage with senior stakeholders and Mgmt team to resolve situations

Decision-making and Problem Solving

- Analysis of various production MI reports & trends along with various aged items review

- Active involvement in decision making for exception management of invoices & payments

Person Specification

- Graduate/Post Graduate in any discipline

- Working knowledge of Accounts Payables business

- Familiar with SAP - R3/P11/XP1/BW

- Understanding of finance processes and systems requirements

- Good understanding of the end to end workflows for invoicing & payments

- Excellent oral and written English skills

- Fast-learner of new procedures and applications

- Able to cope with clients from different background and regions globally over the phone or email

- Experience of dealing with demanding and urgent queries/escalations from internal & external clients

- Ability to provide insights and innovative ideas around improving workflow and provide end-to-end solutions to business users
