About the Role:
- The AVP, International Finance is a strategic and analytical leader responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization's international subsidiaries.
- This role requires a deep understanding of international financial markets, accounting standards (both local and global), and risk management.
-T he successful candidate will be instrumental in driving financial performance, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic financial insights to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and implement financial strategies and budgets for international operations.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis and forecasting to support decision-making.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management.
- Monitor key financial performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends.
Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements for international subsidiaries.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and reporting requirements.
- Manage the closing process, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
-Coordinate external audits and tax filings for international entities.
Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks related to foreign exchange, interest rates, and credit.
- Implement effective hedging strategies to protect the organization's financial position.
- Ensure compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorism financing (CTF) regulations.
Treasury Management:
- Manage cash flow and liquidity for international operations.
- Optimize working capital and reduce financing costs.
- Manage foreign exchange exposures and implement hedging strategies.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team across international locations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
Qualifications:
- Degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in international finance, with a strong track record of success.
- In-depth knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP) and tax regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial software
