Job Description:

Business Overview:

- Market Risk Middle Office (MRMO) is an independent function in the bank that ensures data quality and integrity. Whilst input data is validated reported data is reconciled. MRMO ensures that relationships between a plethora of reference data and assists Risk Managers (RM) in overriding transactional data the RM feel is inaccurate. Additionally the MRMO function reconciles reports between systems to ensure that numbers from multiple systems are consistent.

- Under the MRMO function there are two key functions that are executed out of Powai. These are Market Risk Data Integrity (DI) and Historical Market Data (HMD).

- In addition to Business As Usual (BAU) activities there are a number of strategic initiatives the DI and HMD teams are involved in. We have launched multiple efficiency initiatives in DI and HMD.

- A judicious mix of process improvements and technology are being employed to gain efficiency and improve reliability and accuracy. In addition

In addition MRMO also works on strategic initiatives that will provide the firm with a road map to reduce

- Data Integrity exceptions

- Optimize Regulatory Capital

- Optimize limits utilization

- Give input to Reference Data owners on process and solution design

- Consistent with the above we have roles that forensic and investigative in nature which will deliver better quality data at a lower cost.

- In addition the roles offer the opportunity to understand important concepts like the Economic Capital and Risk Adjusted returns. Opportunities also abound for creating cross divisional synergies and drive value.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- To provide functional and technical leadership to the HMD team.

- Optimize processes through analysis and technology.

- Provide the performance leadership required to move the team up the value chain.

- Help implement a robust governance processes and procedures for activity and performance reports.
