AVP - Governance & Control - Bank

The candidate would be supporting the Global Pan Markets Business Management team. The role requires sound understanding of Markets Business and Financial Markets concepts, eye for detail, ability to liaise with the Senior Business Managers, Trading and Sales Heads as well as Technology teams to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of critical business control and governance requirements.

What will you be doing?

Candidate is expected to deliver on the following business agenda:

- Production of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) trend analysis

- Indirect Retail Governance control monitoring to track resilience of governance metrics

- Production of materials for Product Governance Meetings

- Production of product governance suitability controls MI

- Ensure Distributor Due Diligence is completed in timely manner

- Tracking governance breaches and escalating them to Business Managers on regular basis

- Coordinate Sales budgeting exercise annually and track performance on a weekly / monthly basis

- Ad-hoc customized analysis as required by the business managers to analyse the business performance or lead/lag indicators

- Automation of existing processes and production of dashboards using business intelligence tools or VBA macros

- Delivering cross border requirements

What were looking for:

- Candidates should have a post graduate degree in a relevant field or equivalent (i.e. Finance/ Management)

- Understanding of financial products and financial market environment

- Highly analytical and numerate with exceptional problem solving abilities

- Able to multi-task and prioritise accordingly in a highly pressurised environment.

- Confident in dealing with groups outside of immediate team (Sales, Trading, etc.)

- Proficient in MS Office suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Word

The successful candidate will have proven experience of:

- Executing against tight deadlines

- Ability to handle stressful situations

- Good Stakeholder communication skills

- Evidence of successful collaboration in a global, geographically dispersed environment

Skills that will help you in the role:

- 7-10 years relevant work experience in business analytics function of an investment banks Markets division

- Prior experience in data analytics, data visualisation, VBA or python programming is desirable.
