AVP/General Manager/Head - Product Development - Automotive

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead Programs of Automotive Lighting Design from Concept to Production & Post Launch Support.

- Lead Customer Interactions, Lead Design reviews, Maintain the program with in assigned PD Budget, Change Management, Risk assessment both Technical & Financial.

- Monitor and Track PD Budget vs Actual spent on PD Engineering.

- Lead Warranty, TQCM & bench-marking Review Meetings providing needed support on Programs.

- Lead & Track the Program Timing for PD Deliverables.

- Review Design Automotive Lighting Products from given A-Surface to complete functional Lamps with required feasibility studies - like Geometric Visibility, Mounting Concepts, Thermal, Regulatory Requirements, Electronics etc.

- Understand the Customer's work requirement (SOR/SOW) and project deliverables (Project time estimation, quality and commit delivery dates).

- Leading Design Reviews with Cross-Functional Team Like Program Management, Quality & Manufacturing Team.

- Meeting the quality Procedure/Standards for CAD Design of Components (assembly & part Level).

- Lead team and manage the performance and capability development of team members.

- Assigning Tasks to Team Members & ensuring quality Products with regular reviews.

- Manage assigned DCRM / VA-VE Targets on Programs and guide team lead for the same.

- Review Warranty data with Quality & PD Team for issue resolution Design, Manufacturing & Manufacturing Process Cross-Functional Team.

- Lead Bench-marking of Lighting Products as per plan.

- Encourage team to participate in Paper Publication, Patent submission and recognize team.

- Develop team and lead talent acquisition for India and Global Engineering Team.

- Drive system improvement and implementation of the same.

Must be B.E - (Mechancal ) / M.Tech (Mechanical)

Experience:

1. 18-20 Years in Automotive Lighting Design & Development experience.

2. Thorough Knowledge of design documents DFMEA, DVP, Reliability Matrix etc.

3. Thorough Knowledge of Lighting Product design.

4. Good Knowledge of the Plastic Manufacturing Process.

5.Good CAD design Skill- Catania V5/ug, Excellent Lighting PD Skills, Good PD Engineering Skills

6.Knowledge of Optics Design, Basic Electronics Hardware and Reliability, Plastic Product Material, Software architect.

7. Business Acumen, Entrepreneurial Skill, Think & Act Customer, Team Synergy, Plan & Execute to Excel.

Reporting is to Global Product Development Head.
