AVP - Fundraising & Finance

Job Summary :

- We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Transaction Leader to join our team, bringing expertise in fundraising, deal negotiations, and financial strategy.

- The ideal candidate will have around 15 years of experience in the financial industry, with a proven track record of successful fundraising and established relationships with major lenders and investors.

- This role requires a strategic thinker with strong financial modeling skills, excellent negotiation capabilities, and the ability to independently lead complex financial transactions.

- A willingness to travel and engage directly with stakeholders is essential.

Key Responsibilities :

Fundraising and Capital Acquisition :

- Lead fundraising efforts, including project finance, external commercial borrowings (ECBs), working capital, and trade finance, with large lenders and investors.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investors to secure favorable funding terms.

- Independently manage the end-to-end process of deal structuring, negotiation, and execution.

Financial Strategy and Planning :

- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals.

- Conduct thorough financial analysis and modeling to evaluate investment opportunities and assess risks.

Deal Negotiations and Documentation :

- Take a leading role in negotiations with lenders and investors to secure optimal terms and conditions for financing agreements.

- Prepare and review comprehensive transaction documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Equity Raising :

- Identify and pursue opportunities for equity raising to support the company's growth and strategic initiatives.

- Engage with potential equity investors and stakeholders to communicate the company's value proposition.

Market Analysis and Networking :

- Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes affecting fundraising and finance.

- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and build relationships.

Leadership and Team Development :

- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive successful transaction outcomes.

Requirements :

Qualifications :

- CA or An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly desirable.

- Approximately 15 to 20 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or related fields, with a focus on fundraising and transaction leadership.

- Established network and strong relationships with major lenders, financial institutions, and investors.

- Proven track record of successfully closing complex financial transactions and securing funding.

- Expertise in project finance, ECBs, working capital, and trade finance.

- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Experience in equity raising is a plus.

- Willingness and ability to travel as required.
