Job Summary
The Strategic Planning Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic presentations and plans for both internal and external stakeholders. The role involves conducting competitive benchmarking, driving strategic initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and managing the buyout or sale of portfolio assets. The candidate will also be tasked with tracking macro-economic and industry data to inform business decisions and leading other special projects as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Presentations/Plans: Develop and prepare comprehensive strategic presentations and plans for internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Competitive Benchmarking: Conduct detailed competitive benchmarking analysis to identify industry trends and inform strategic decisions.
- Strategic Initiatives: Lead and support strategic initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions (M&A), portfolio buyouts, and sales.
- Data Tracking: Monitor and analyze macro-economic and industry data to provide insights and recommendations.
- Special Projects: Manage and execute special projects as required to support the overall strategic goals of the organization.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
- 5 to 10 years of prior work experience in a strategic role within a leading financial services organization in areas such as Strategy Formulation, Cost Program, Corporate Planning, Business Finance, FP&A, or similar roles.
- Alternatively, relevant management consulting experience with a Big 4 firm or a similar consulting organization.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong understanding of macro-economic trends and industry dynamics.
