Assistant Vice President-Finance Operations Risk Management (FORM)

MNC Bank Shared Services

REPORTS TO: Associate Director

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The role involves the following responsibilities in relation to assigned business group with the Bank:

Finance Operations Risk Management & Business Operations Risk Management:

FORM Global:

- Responsible for ensuring robust FORM Service Delivery to the Global FORM teams. Ensuring that the team outputs are adequately reviewed and analysed for all BCS, LEMIS, UAR, IRS and other compliance tasks

- Responsible for continuous improvement of tools, processes and systems which support the Finance Control Framework (FCF) and Finance Control Standards (FCS).

- Supports the regular and ad-hoc reporting to Risk Management Group (RMG), as required under the bank's risk management framework

- Responsible for ad-hoc work on projects or other tasks as appropriate

- Responsible for the communication and compliance of RMG Operational Risk policies or procedures to relevant Finance staff

- Identify / develop best practices and ensure communication / implementation as appropriate of these initiatives across Global FORM

GFS FORM & BORM:

- Responsible for the regular self-assessment and ensuring compliance with the FCS.

- Ensuring appropriate framework to identify and report significant matters relating to the FCF on a monthly basis to GFS Management and Finance Leadership Committee (FLC)

- Support the FORM Head in managing team budgets, costs and recoveries.

- Supports GFS in implementing controls to minimise financial / economic risks from finance operations

- Support and co-ordinate with the Internal Audit team for GFS audit including resolving issues, driving internal audit actions to closure.

- Responsible for Business Operations Risk Management (BORM) supporting GFS Management on business risk decisions, business risk reviews, managing change and compliance / training on policies and procedures

- Supports (and responsible for as appropriate) targeted Quality Control Reviews on effectiveness of key controls and compliance with the FCS

- Support the education of staff on the FCF and the FCS

- Regularly review and ensure appropriate Business Continuity Management for GFS

- People and Team Management

- Develop a strong team, provide leadership by example, keep the team engaged and motivated. Define career paths and team objectives aligned to the organisational objectives and evaluate performance against those objectives.

- Managing the client relationships and ensuring engagement with the clients on an ongoing basis.

- Overall review and ownership over the work performed within the GFS FORM / BORM team, ensuring adherence to timetable and work plan and maintaining of a high quality of the deliverable.

- Provide the team Technical support and an active involvement in the work performed and delivered by the team.

- Continuously innovate with focus to improve process – enhance efficiencies and add value; ensuring quality consciousness in all aspects of the team.

QUALIFICATIONS & BACKGROUND/WORK EXPERIENCE

- Professional accounting qualification, preferably CA

- Minimum 8 years of post CA qualification relevant experience including 4+ years of people management experience

- Willingness to travel overseas / domestic

- Willingness to work in different time zones to support clients as and when required during peak periods or programme based
