Assistant Vice President - Finance Operations
Role Purpose (overall high level summary of the role) :
- To help develop offshore BI&A (Business Information & Analytics) team for setup and managing of reporting processes of management information (both quantitative & qualitative) for Operations, Systems & Technology.
Principal Accountability :
- Set up / Management of HOST Reporting processes with creation & development of reporting packs
- Participate in, and possibly lead, Flash calls with the regions and functions and then draft preliminary commentaries for Flash and key HOST reports
- Maintain, update and continually improve central forecasting model used to support central Top Down Guidance for latest estimates and plan
- Preparation of cost and FTE walks in support of the cost management programme; analysis to facilitate quarterly cost management forums
- Review of non financial metrics and support for analysis linking non-financial metrics to financial performance
- Support on projects.
- Ad-hoc analysis in support of requests from senior management across the business and finance
Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications :
- B.Com, CA (Inter) with 12+ or CA/CWA/MBA with 10 + years of experience in Financial Planning, Reporting & Analysis / Period-end close / Global Consolidation of a organization of similar scale within US GAAP, IFRS, IAS reporting framework
- Knowledge of HOST functions and processes will be added advantage.
- Knowledge of Financial Control in a Banking / Financial Services Environment with exposure to Banking products
- Proven ability to project manage migrations of finance processes and exposure to diverse/multi-culture work environments with strong organization, time management and prioritization skills
- Excellent communication skills and presentation skills are mandatory, as are good tact and diplomacy, as the role requires relationship management with other individuals and teams within the Group
- Orientation towards Quality (Six Sigma/Lean methodology) and technical bent of mind
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite; Exposure to Project Management Software and experience in working on Database Management tool viz. Hyperion, TM1, Cognos etc.
- Ideally, experience of leading and managing teams of between 10-20 members.
- Global Exposure and experience in multi-tasking
