Summary: The role will involve performance and review of financial control tasks and drive process efficiencies. It will provide an opportunity to partner with various functional teams.

Key responsibilities will include:

Preparation and review responsibilities of following work performed by the team involving accounting functions:

- Month end accounting, analysis of PL and BS, and finalization of trial balance.

- Support Statutory, Regulatory & Management reporting including expense analysis, investigation of variances and providing commentaries.

- Preparation of Statutory Financial Statements along with relevant Notes to the Accounts.

- Ensure timely delivery of work and providing regular update to all stakeholders including clients.

- Preparing and updating process documentation and to keep it up to date all the time.

- Work collaboratively with team of staff performing similar tasks across FC teams.

- Manage responses to queries from clients and auditors

- Develop Knowledge of the Business, Accounting Systems, Reconciliation policy, Finance Control Standards & Quality Framework and ensure compliance with these.

- Driving key projects in the Financial Control space.

- Ensure timely delivery of work and providing regular update to all stakeholders including clients

- Review of process documentation to keep it up to date all the time.

- Training and developing new starters; Leading and managing the team, and doing effective appraisals.

- Liaising with auditors (internal & external) and responding to their queries

- Stakeholder Management and handle escalations.

About you:

You are an experienced person in financial control, with exposure to financial accounting and reporting in a financial service industry being advantageous. Possessing good knowledge of accounting standards; exposure to IFRS will be an advantage.

We want to hear from you if you have:

- Postgraduate / professional accounting qualification, preferably CA or CPA

- Minimum 6 to 8 years of post qualification experience

- Flexibility to work in different time zones.

- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

- Strong Excel, PowerPoint skills with ability to deliver high quality presentations and management reports for senior stakeholders.

- Ability to handle large volumes of data and present meaningful analysis

- Strong team player
