AVP - Engineering - Financial Services

Role Requirements :

- Lead the engineering team from a leadership + hands on involvement in development, design and delivering of products/projects (with more external focus)

- Drive system design, architecture, development & deployment of platforms and drive their scalability

- Evaluate new technologies and tools towards the goal of introducing the team to the latest developments in the technology industry

- Work with direct & indirect teams as well as 3rd party providers to simplify and build scalable customer journeys and products - get involved in efforts estimation, planning, and timely delivery of the owned products

- Responsible for hiring, mentoring and training quality team members and setting a word-class engineering culture

Experience Requirements :

- Strong experience in full stack development (strong in back-end mandatory) across MERN stack, AWS, hybrid/ progressive Web APIs, etc. , system design, architecture, design patters, scalability, devops architecture, distribution platforms, etc.

- 12-15 years of overall experience with 3-5 years of relevant hands on experience in MERN stack (Reactjs + Nodejs) with ability to provide technical guidance to the teams to develop high quality and scalable code

- Prior experience in building applications from scratch and making them highly scalable while owning them end to end - across B2B or B2C / Fin Tech, Insurance

- Ability to optimize cloud services and work flawlessly with Open API architectures

- Own the accountability of products, identify and resolve problem statements and enable quality delivery
