AVP - Data Management - BFSI

Primary Location: India, Karnataka, Bangalore

Education :

Master/Bachelor degree in Information Technology/Information Systems/Computer Applications/Engineering from a premier institute.

Experience:

- 8+years of relevant work experience with extensive knowledge of MIS REPORTING /Data Management principles and Information Systems development, with particular emphasis in the use of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence Architectures

- Career must evidence the following experiences

- Program managing a large MIS or Data Management Initiatives

- Hands-On knowledge on the following technologies - SAS (Advanced), MS SQL Server, UNIX, COGNOS, Qlikview, Automation, .Net and Java technologies, VBA, etc.

- Good exposure to Financial Services businesses :

Skills:

- Career must evidence the following experiences :

- Program managing a large Data Architecture or Data Warehousing Initiative

- Large scale MIS delivery in off-shore / on-shore models and self-service migrations

- Hands-On knowledge on the following technologies - SAS, MS SQL Server, UNIX, COGNOS, Qlikview, Excel VBA, Automation etc.

Key Deliverables:

- Design and development of MIS/Business reporting, Data Standardization Processes, Adhoc analysis. Centralization of projects in COE

- On-time delivery and quick TAT, multi-task and manage multiple projects independently and helps junior analysts deliver, provide technical / non - technical guidance as required

- Automation of BAU, develop self-service solutions and deliver business value, set-up best in class in-house support

- Communication: Effectively communicate strategic considerations with team, partners and senior management.

- Share best practices across SIS groups and implement best practices, drive data and analytics solutions

- Presentation of results to business partners and COE senior management

Relationship Management: Interact regularly with Partner leadership to set and manage expectations aligned to group capabilities and work to deepen existing relationships.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities :

The MIS/Data Management lead is expected to :

- Be a direct interface of the team with the various stakeholders

- Be directly accountable for flawless execution and delivery on meeting the reporting requirements

- Manage and mentor a team information solutions analysts

- Continually identify opportunities for advancing the reporting capabilities through process automation and enhancement

- Manage / Mentor a team of Analysts, Senior Analyst, and Principal Analysts in the delivery of respective projects

- Design and development of MIS / Data Management activities :

- The role of AVP - Strategic Information Solutions group is based at AAS- Bangalore Center and reports to the Director/Senior Director leading the team. Assistant Vice President will be part of one of the business teams AAS partners with (NA Cards, NA Retail Bank, EMEA Cards, APAC Cards, APAC Retail Bank, Banamex, etc.).

- The key requirement for the role is the ability to understand the business, develop data-driven solutions to address business problems and independently manage end-to-end project communication with business partners, mentor junior analysts, lead by example etc. and display a proactive learning attitude.

- We are looking for Self-motivated individuals who are comfortable working in bigger teams. A flexible, positive and mature mind set to deal with ambiguities of complex business problems is a must.
