Requirement for an AVP into Credit Analysis handling global corporate clients
Introduction:
- Member of the - Risk - Centre of Excellence-, Credit Analysis team, which is responsible for credit risk analysis, monitoring and limits administration for corporate counterparties

- Stay current with financial analysis and risk profile of assigned sector(s) and clients to whom we have exposure
- Alert senior management to negative developments and trends pertaining to assigned sectors and clients
- Ensure target achievement adhering to Service Level Agreements
What will you be doing?
- Complete ownership of the assigned corporate portfolio. The role holder together with the team would be accountable for timely delivery of annual reviews, interim reviews, providing support on transactions, ongoing portfolio monitoring and performing any other ad-hoc portfolio related exercise.
- To handle complex portfolio and undertake ongoing portfolio surveillance/monitoring encompassing the following key activities:
- Undertake fundamental credit analysis on his/her portfolio of corporate credit counterparties:
- Prepare annual/periodic credit reviews for submission to senior Risk Officers and Credit Committees
- Handle deal and transaction flow including IBDC deals (M&A), conventional refinancing deals and derivative requests
- Timely action on transaction-level limit requests received from Front office and Product areas via allocation from pre-agreed limit framework assigned by onshore credit officers (if any)
- Ensure all relevant Credit Risk policies, standards and procedures are followed
- Updating all credit risk systems to ensure that credit limits, internal grades and other credit parameters are aligned with the framework assigned by onshore credit officers
- Investigating limit excesses if any, and escalating to the onshore credit officers and supporting stress test monitoring
- Perform credit analysis on interim requests for credit facility amendments, and prepare analysis in support of interim headroom requests, for presentation to senior Risk officers for approval
- Liaising and communicating with other departments to ensure documentation requirements are met
- Undertake quarterly reviews on more complex and higher risk groups, including reporting on corporate credit counterparties which have been determined to merit more frequent credit review
- Maintain data integrity of relevant Credit Risk systems (and perform monthly credit grade attestation
- On-going monitoring of portfolio of industries for material developments affecting credit quality and the initiation of appropriate action
- The role holder will provide coaching and mentoring to junior colleagues, transferring skills and expertise as required ensuring delivery against targets and continuing professional and personal development
- Assist and support on-shore teams in responding to information requests from our banking system regulators The role holder will control/co-ordinate team's work, allocating tasks, planning and monitoring progress, managing risks, issues and dependencies, ensuring awareness of responsibilities and securing commitment to successful delivery of specified tasks as per Service Level Agreements.
What we- re looking for:
- Bachelors/PG degree in Business Administration, Economics or Finance
- Relevant experience of credit analysis/research in another financial institution, preferably a major international bank
- Knowledge of multiple regions / sectors / industries
- Understanding of various banking products including revolving credit facilities, loans, derivatives and cash management facilities
- Independent problem-solving skills
