Payments E&D team are responsible to provide development support for all payments products/services. E&D operates as one team to drive the right customer outcomes and protect the integrity of the payments services

Overall job purpose of - Dedicated design and Barclays technical SME for a tier-1 payments processing application, Ensuring that technical requirements are clearly articulated/understood by service provider, Understand and review, technical changes proposed by service provider, Understand the product solution both from application and infrastructure perspective, Act as point of contact in terms of integration challenges, You also manage dependencies whether internally between build phases or externally to other development stages. You are a key contributor to thought leadership for the development and therefore consider and research approaches for effective build definition and practice across various initiatives. You, therefore, have a key part to play in developing effective build and maturity across a range of disciplines, including build design, business domain knowledge, environment management, automation and other efficiency techniques. Your principal accountability is in ensuring design, development, and delivery of Splunk based Monitoring change into Live.

You fulfill a senior position within the PCDT and therefore are responsible for embedding the Barclays values in the development team leading by example.

Main Duties and Responsibilities :

- Regular interaction with Design team for on-going technical design changes

- Joining defect calls and providing updates (questioning service provider to get clarity)

- Schedule calls with stakeholders to get signoff on low-level design docs and address their comments/concerns

- Analysis of the solution.

- Debug and simulate

- Options for tactical solution without any code change

- Risk and Control: All Barclays colleagues have to ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards

Requirements for IJP for the position of Core Engineering Delivery Lead - BI Corp Tech

- Must have extensive knowledge of the development lifecycle and variety of technologies.

- Must have worked on product development

- Must have hands-on experience in Java development and fundamentals

- Must have very good knowledge on the database and creating performance tuned SQL queries.

- Must have extensive understanding of defect management processes and tools

- Must have very good knowledge of the financial sector, specifically Global Payments

- Must have extensive and varied experience of managing multiple stakeholders with differing levels of technical/testing comprehension

- Must have worked on at least one full payment implementation and being part of SDLC lifecycle.

- Would be ideal to have experience of managing teams.

- Must have the ability to set direction, lead and motivate team

- Must have the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines whilst maintaining quality and managing to an acceptable level of risk

- Would be ideal to have the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with all Programme/Project disciplines

- Graduation or higher degree in I.T. or Computer

- Must have experience in banking or financial sector

- Nice to have knowledge on payments processing flow.
