AVP - Controls Governance - MIFID Regulation - BFSI

Role Purpose

- To provide general product governance support to all asset class product providers to ensure completion of required due diligence to CMB (Commercial Banking) clients

- To align with GMCS Control Office on potential MiFID II implications

- To ensure products marketed to CMB clients are fit-for-purpose, risks and controls are assessed on a regular basis and deemed appropriate as well as meet all relevant compliance, legal, tax and regulatory requirements

- To continually assess/drive efficiencies around product governance procedures and adherence to FIM/CMB strategy

- To summarise and articulate potential inconsistencies/issues in relation to Global Product Inventory (GPI) and/or CMB client segments in scope

- To manage wide range of stakeholders from asset class product providers to local sales teams to global risk stewards in the support of completing relevant product governance requirements

Proficient in Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint

- Good understanding of Controls and the operational aspects underpinning governance processes

- Demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders and manage their expectations (Key)

- Good understanding of investment banking products

- Appreciation of financial industry and key MiFID regulation on the financial markets practices

- Motivated and dynamic, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise accordingly

- Ability to work closely with team members and collaborate with colleagues globally

- Confident and comfortable with reporting tools and databases, able to quickly to learn new systems

- Strong organisational and time management skills, with a structured, organised approach to work

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
