Our client is more than 2 decades old NBFC registered with the RBI. The company was set up with an aim to empower rural entrepreneurs, SMEs, and small institutions by micro-financing. The company has come a long way since its inception in 1992 and has evolved with time with the introduction of its App in the small loans sector. At present, the company has more than 2000 employees and has serviced millions of borrowers to accomplish their dreams.
The group has diversified into the education segment and is running two schools. The schools are part of one of the largest private school chains in India. The schools have a flourishing family of 350 teachers and 6500 students. The leadership team at the helm of the company has demonstrable experience in financial services and has built the company by upholding the trust of its customers.
As the Assistant Vice President (AVP) Compliance, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our financial services company adheres to all regulatory requirements and internal policies. You will oversee compliance initiatives, manage compliance teams, and work closely with various departments to mitigate risks and maintain our commitment to regulatory excellence.
What you need to do:
- Ensuring that the company complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. This includes staying up-to-date with regulatory changes and advising senior management on necessary actions.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations and regulatory adherence.
- Identifying and assessing compliance risks within the organization. Developing and implementing strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Overseeing internal and external compliance audits and investigations. Coordinate with external auditors and regulators as required.
- Developing and conducting training programs for employees to ensure awareness and understanding of compliance requirements and ethical standards.
- Preparing and presenting compliance reports to senior management and regulatory bodies. Maintain comprehensive records of compliance activities.
- Managing and mentoring the compliance team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Serving as the primary point of contact with regulatory bodies and other external stakeholders on compliance-related matters.
- Identifying opportunities to enhance the compliance program and implement best practices in compliance management.
What you need to have:
- Minimum 2-5 Years of experience in Companies Act Compliance.
- Good Knowledge of Companies Act and rules made thereunder.
- Having good drafting skill, like drafting of Resolutions, Agenda, Reports.
- Should have good interpretational skill
- Should be well versed with online filling procedures of the MCA
- keep up to date with any regulatory or statutory changes and policies that might affect the organization.
