Job Summary:
The AVP of Compensation and Benefits will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the organization's compensation and benefits programs. This role ensures that the compensation structure is competitive, equitable, and aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. The AVP will also oversee the benefits programs to ensure they are comprehensive, cost-effective, and meet the needs of the employees.
Key Responsibilities:
Compensation Strategy and Design:
- Develop and implement comprehensive compensation strategies that align with the organization's objectives.
- Conduct market research and analysis to ensure competitive pay structures.
- Design and manage salary structures, pay policies, and incentive programs.
- Oversee the annual salary review process, including salary benchmarking and adjustments.
Benefits Administration:
- Design, implement, and manage the organization's benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and wellness programs.
- Evaluate and recommend new benefit programs or modifications to existing programs to ensure market competitiveness and employee satisfaction.
- Oversee benefits enrollment processes and ensure effective communication of benefits to employees.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure all compensation and benefits programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Prepare and present reports on compensation and benefits metrics to senior leadership.
- Oversee audits related to compensation and benefits and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Employee Communication and Support:
- Develop and deliver communication strategies to ensure employees understand compensation and benefits programs.
- Provide support to HR business partners and managers on compensation and benefits-related issues.
- Address employee inquiries and resolve issues related to compensation and benefits.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage the compensation and benefits team, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 16 years of experience in compensation and benefits, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with compensation and benefits analysis and modeling.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to compensation and benefits.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
