Responsibilities:
- This role will be responsible for Category ownership and leading the end-to-end Category roadmap. The person would be the business owner for his/ her categories.
- Responsible for top-line and Margin goals
- Build partnerships with FMCG companies from long term strategic point of View, Maintaining Relationships with them to ensure we meet our Category Strategic objectives
- Lead sourcing engagements across relevant category to enable new business initiatives to launch and scale rapidly
- Leading and supporting the development of effective brand/category management initiatives with local teams.
- Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to align, execute and improve upon existing practices and processes
Functional & Competencies :
- Identify Key Portfolio gaps and finding the right channel to fill them across cities in India
- Responsible for functional areas such as buying, pricing, inventory management and operations to drive the performance of vendor partners
- Establish long term partnerships with key vendor partners for the group of vendors handled
- Support the launches of new programs, categories and features.
Desired Skill Set:
- Minimum 15 Plus year experience with combined work-ex in FMCG Sales with leading brand besides exposure to category management in Retail
- Should have excellent contacts with the e-Commerce team of top FMCG majors
- Should be able to analyse and identify the KVI's as per the market/city requirement
- MBA preferable
