Roles & Responsibilities :
This position is responsible for managing multiple large or complex projects in accordance to the project approach, structure, and charter in order to support the successful implementation of new applications and systems based on business and customer objectives
- Exercises a leadership role, ensuring the completion of projects within defined time-lines, budget controls and quality standards
- Strong Experienced in Calypso Front Office to Back Office implementation
- Strong ability to consult and educate clients on Calypso platform including business process design, including data quality, metadata and workflow technologies
- Define standards, guidelines, processes, and provide expertise to consistently address Calypso or similar platforms in implementation, functional support, interface development and QA
- Excellent functional understanding ; should be able to interface with BAs, Business Users and Client Teams
- Conduct Platforms evaluations in Investment Banking domain
- Experience with data modelling of intricate financial platforms
- Develops and manages the projects tasks and dependencies to ensure that development activities are consistent with established I.T. standards as well as those business objectives
- Assembles a project team, identifies appropriate resources needed and develops a schedule to ensure timely completion of project
- Forecast internal resource capacity by tracking the progress of projects across the portfolio
- Should be able to mentor the existing team and build the resource base
- Good knowledge of Agile methodology
Key deliverables :
- Contribute to Calypso Implementation, Version Upgrades, development,maintenance & enhancement activities
- Work closely with support and development teams both for communication of support issues and to understand upcoming releases and changes
- Development of Calypso Accelerators like utilities to monitor the environment, automate tasks, determine message latencies, throughput etc
- Work closely with external vendor, internal IT teams to provide ongoing support and maintenance on existing IT solutions.
- Ensure prompt and correct tracking and reporting of all requests and incidents, catalogue of change, and release, record of activity in company standard tracking tool
- Regular and clear communication to stakeholders on the status of incidents
- Control and manage software deployment which includes new applications and updates to existing applications, system should not be put to production unless standards applying to recoverability, scale-ability, supportability
- Maintain and participate in DRP / BCP
- Candidates should be prepared to work out of normal business hours such as weekends, client public holidays, or early mornings shifts according to the business needs
Essential Experience :
- Overall 12+ Years of IT Experience in front, middle and back office projects for global financial intermediaries.
- Solid understanding of Calypso Architecture and Core Calypso APIs
- Must have hands-on experience in working directly on Calypso and the interfaces.
- Must have financial knowledge in FX,MM,Commodities,Interest, Rate derivatives etc.
- Must have experience on vendor trading applications
Technical knowledge :
- Strong technical skills : Calypso API with Core Java, Spring, hibernate, JMS,Design Patterns
- Hands on Experience in calypso workstation, Calypso P&l, Task station, Scheduled Task, Reporting etc.
- Good knowledge of databases, networks and servers
- Good knowledge of market data feeds and market data distribution
- Knowledge of Exchange connectivity and setup
