Job Summary :
Our client is a Top Bank. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Vice President (AVP) to join their Business Planning Team within the Corporate Banking Department. The AVP will play a critical role in data management, strategic analysis, and planning for business promotion. The ideal candidate will possess strong Excel skills, expertise in data management, and the ability to proactively contribute to the growth and success of business operations. The AVP will be responsible for various planning activities, including asset strategy, self-analysis, competitor analysis, market analysis, and new product planning. Additionally, the candidate should be well-versed in regulations related to banking, including Priority Sector Lending (PSL) requirements, and be prepared to handle ad-hoc actions in response to sudden regulatory changes. Responsibilities :
1] Conduct strategic analysis and planning for business promotion, including but not limited to asset strategy, self-analysis, competitor analysis, market analysis, and new product planning.
2] Manage and maintain data related to the Planning Team, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and availability for reporting and analysis purposes.
3] Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze and interpret complex data sets, providing meaningful insights and recommendations to support business decision-making.
4] Stay abreast of regulatory requirements, particularly in relation to Priority Sector Lending (PSL), and ensure compliance through effective planning and execution.
5] Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish efficient business operations and optimize processes to drive productivity and profitability.
6] Foster a proactive attitude within the team, actively seeking opportunities for improvement and innovation, and implementing timely solutions to address business challenges.
7] Share relevant information and reports with stakeholders in a timely manner, ensuring effective communication and transparency across the organization.
8] Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance and alignment with industry standards.
9] Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a finance-related field. Additional professional degrees or certifications related to finance are preferred.
- Around 5+ years of experience in data management, with a focus on strategic analysis and planning.
- Advanced level of Excel skills, including proficiency in data manipulation, formulae, macros, and data visualization techniques.
- Strong understanding of banking regulations, particularly related to Priority Sector Lending (PSL), and experience in managing regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and optimizing business operations, with a track record of delivering results.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to think strategically and provide innovative solutions to business challenges.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
