Job Description:

Principal Accountabilities: Key activities and decision making areas Typical KPIs and Targets

- Collate, consolidate financial data/ reports using various financial systems for AMG Business

- Analyze business performance and provide variance commentaries with business drivers for AMG

- Creation of a Management Information Framework to support MI & Analysis for the AMG business

- To have a strong understanding of the AMG business and related products in particular their KPIs, performance impact & so on.

- Support AOP/Planning, Stress Testing exercises

- Produce and analyse ad hoc reports, as & when required by various stakeholders.

- Co-ordinate, work-closely with all the regional & in-country finance teams to work closely with the other teams within the organization

- Support senior management in implementation of strategic decisions

- Ensure compliance with standards and statutory requirements.

Customers / Stakeholders

- Establish and maintain effective relationship with business areas and identify areas of service improvements.

- Develop a clear & efficient communication channel with the Onshore team.

- Reviews of the customer issues and ensure products and services are tailored on an ongoing basis to meet expectation.

- Influence and escalate key customer issues in an effective way to ensure timely resolution.

- Timely and accurate MI produced with minimal queries against required deadlines.

- All queries acknowledged and resolved in a timely manner.

- No escalation from the business partners.

Leadership & Teamwork

- Lead various initiatives within the team to improve interpersonal relations, teamwork etc.

- Create an environment within the team which fosters free sharing of knowledge & ideas.

- Lead various initiatives to develop the soft skills and technical competency of team.

- Up-to-date knowledge of all the team members.

Operational Effectiveness & Control

- Adherence to Group policies, audit, controls, and compliance requirements including but not limited to Declaration of secrecy, data protection act, health, safety and security, clear desk policy.

- Effectively drive and manage change, plan business contingency and achieve cross-training.

- Ensure up to date & complete inventory of SOPs for each & every activity. Get them reviewed & approved by the Onshore Business Partners.

- Timely and accurate delivery of process objectives per the agreed SLA.

Zero control issues.

- Timely completion of the SOPs duly reviewed & approved by the business partners.

- Major Challenges (The challenges inherent in the role that require a continual test of the role holder's abilities)

- Need to build strong effective relationships with onshore colleagues to ensure successful migration of processes.

- To fully understand the MI data process and challenge data integrity.

- To fully understand the business and related products.

- To fully understand the technical built up of the system & its functioning.

- To be aware of changes in requirements that would impact timely MI reporting.

Management of Risk (Operational Risk / FIM requirements)

- Manage MI production in accordance with the group's FIM reporting requirements

- Ensure all regulatory reporting requirements are considered e.g. SOX

- Any process re-engineering must comply with the applicable control environment

- Observation of Internal Controls (Compliance Policy / FIM requirements)

- Adherence to Group Finance Instruction Manual and departmental controls

- Role Dimensions (e.g. balance sheet size, lending/expenditure limits, size/volume of transactions, budget. in USD- 000)

- Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications (For the role - not the role holder. Minimum requirements of the role.)

CA/CWA/MBA: 8 - 10 years or B.Com /M Com/ CA(Inter)/ CWA (Inter): 8 - 12 years or prior relevant experience in MI reporting.

- Knowledge of Asset Management and Investment Products.

- Good analytical skills, an eye for detail & a drive for quality, statistical skills to study trends, understand & interpret numeric information.

- Excellent knowledge & experience of MS Office Suite (majorly MS Excel)

- Experience in working on Database Management tool viz. TM1, COGNOS, BOXI etc.

- Excellent Communication & presentation skills.

- Experience in multi-tasking & flexible to work in accordance with business requirements.

- Proven ability to project manage migrations of finance processes and exposure to diverse/multi-culture work environments with strong organization, time management and prioritization skills

- Orientation towards Quality (Six Sigma/Lean methodology) and technical bent of mind

- Self driven.
