About the Role:
- As the Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Branch Operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless and efficient functioning of the branch on a day-to-day basis.
- This leadership position demands a proactive approach to managing financial activities, compliance, customer relationships, and team performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the branch to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor and analyze branch financial activities, including cash flow management, deposits, loans, and transaction processing.
- Implement and uphold operational policies and procedures to optimize performance.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to all banking regulations, policies, and procedures to mitigate risk.
- Oversee branch audits, conducting regular assessments to identify areas for improvement.
- Establish and maintain operational risk management measures to protect the branch and its assets.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with customers to understand and meet their financial needs.
- Address and resolve customer complaints and inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Promote a customer-centric culture by training staff on service excellence and conflict resolution techniques.
Sales and Growth Strategy:
- Drive branch growth by setting and achieving sales targets for products and services.
- Lead the team in identifying opportunities for new account acquisition, loan products, and cross-selling initiatives.
- Collaborate with marketing and other departments to design and execute local promotions and campaigns that enhance customer engagement and drive sales.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to branch staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to help team members achieve their goals.
- Identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities for staff.
Community Engagement:
- Represent the branch in community events and initiatives to strengthen the bank's presence and foster goodwill.
- Cultivate partnerships with local businesses and organizations to enhance brand visibility and drive customer engagement.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on branch performance, financial metrics, and customer satisfaction.
- Analyze data to identify trends, make informed decisions, and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven experience in branch management, financial services, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
