About our Client: Our client is a leading global bank with significant growth plans for the India region. As part of growth of their captive center, they are looking for an AVP- Big Data to lead their analytics team based out of Mumbai supporting global geographies. They are looking for a highly talented, innovative and collaborative leader to grow the team of analytics professionals.

Job Description: Reporting into the Vice President- Digital Strategy, your role would be to solve business problems by providing insights from digital data using Hadoop and Big Data techniques. You would also be responsible for:

- Demonstrating active, effective leadership by inspiring a vision, motivating a passion to excel and cultivating the firms values.

- Deliver on digital analytics projects that require analyzing information (e.g., clickstream data, unstructured data, offline customer data) on Hadoop using Big Data tools and techniques.

- Effectively communicate project findings with team, partners and senior management.

- Participate in periodic meetings with Manager and Business Partners to share overall status of work, progress, issues. Seek synergies in activities across teams and implement value-added enhancements to the way work is executed.

The Successful Candidate: As a Successful Applicant, you need to have the following:

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline:

- Mathematics, Comp. Sc., Economics, Operations Research

Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience

Skills Hands-on exposure of working with the Hadoop stack:

- MapReduce, HDFS, Pig, Hive, HBase, Mahout Strong programming skills in Python/R/Java

- In-depth understanding of Machine Learning algorithms Applied Text mining to solve business problems Good understanding of the digital landscape and what information could be used for risk optimization
