Sitting location would be Bangalore
Excellent knowledge of AML, KYC and CDD concepts is a must
Minimum 9 years of experience. Out of which 5 to 6 years into AML/KYC/CDD domain
Team Management is must. Minimum span of 30-40 people
Our maximum salary budget is 28 -29 LPA fixed + annual bonus
Job Description:
Customer Due Diligence (CDD) Program has been created to define Global Standards for Customer Due Diligence policy / procedures and deploy these consistently for Global Businesses. The program was initially formed in response to US regulatory orders so as to develop a globally aligned CDD policy framework. It's scope will cover Affiliates Due Diligence, Sanctions, Tax transparency, Bearer Shares, Global client selection & exit policy.
The key objectives of CDD Program are to:
- Enable to deter individuals and entities from using its facilities for the purpose of financial crime (including fraud)
- Ensure that does not open or maintain accounts or facilitate payments contrary to relevant sanctions, or which are potentially used to launder money or fund terrorism
- Enable to comply with legal and regulatory requirements regarding financial crime; and assist with the promotion of positive corporate governance and risk management throughout and manage and mitigate financial crime related risks.
- Drive service excellence through operational oversight of site CDD teams and deliver quality, risk, people and financial performance targets.
- Provide inputs into Global re-engineering initiatives e.g. Global Minimum Standard design for a process and ensure that these are deployed across markets in close partnership with business and service delivery teams.
- Ensure CDD Policy, Procedures and Guidance are written, in line with local regulations and guidelines, regularly reviewed and amended where necessary.
- Manage a team responsible for overseeing CDD operations and ensure compliance with these requirements
- Provide leadership to the site CDD teams and build a strong commercial and customer centric culture.
- Maintain and observe all control standards including the timely implementation of Group Audit recommendations

- operates in an increasingly regulated and complex global space which requires compliance to regulations in different jurisdictions. Fight against financial crime has no finish line and in this context, the job holder will need to adapt to a complex business environment which has ever evolving landscape.
- To continually re-assess the operational risks inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures, management restructures, and the impact of new technology in conjunction with other Group companies.
- Responsible for meeting customer expectations and PLA standards for the overall team.
- Lead the CDD team and motivate the team leaders (AMOs) in a challenging environment and assist the team in facilitating greater efficiency and timely production of high quality KYC profiles.
- Interfacing with Client Liaison Group, Compliance, Front Office and Relationship Managers where applicable especially on matters that involve escalation of pending and ageing profiles.
- Provide adequate training from a client due diligence perspective and develop a team of world class KYC professionals.
- Act as a KYC knowledge centre to the team and ability to resolve queries pertaining to high risk KYC profiles.
- Interpret regulatory/policy changes and communicate their implications to the team. Ability to establish action points arising out of the same and incorporate the impact within laid down procedures.
- Keep abreast of developments within the financial regulatory environment and proactively educate the team on the same.
- Work in tandem with the Quality Control team to ensure overall high quality profiles emanating from the team and address quality issues to meet the established performance standards.
- Work with the peer sites (GSCs) to share best practices or provide the required support.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Risk and Operations Management and broad understanding of CMB & RBWM business.
- 10+years of work experience related to the banking and financial services organization.
- Excellent understanding of KYC, financial regulatory environment and AML risk implications
- Ability to interpret complex changes in regulatory guidelines and assess impact.
- Ability to deploy practical, cost effective operational solutions to complex global issues related to CDD policy and framework change.
- Experience of interpreting and analyzing a large volume of information and / or data and provide succinct summary for management.
- Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
- Should be effective in guidance, leadership and stakeholder management.
- Experience of managing crisis situations and take appropriate / timely decisions
- Ability to work well under pressure with high degree of accuracy.
- Self- Motivated and Ability to inspire others - capable of leading and motivating a team of high calibre individuals into new challenges.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and a flexible approach to working hours and responsibilities
- Excellent knowledge of AML, KYC and CDD concepts is a must
- Understanding of regulatory requirements & FIM
