AVP - Advanced Analytics - BFS

- AVP, Analytics Acceleration role is a part of India Analytics Hub (IAH) within Growth function of Company.

- The role will deliver high-visibility and high-impact projects, working in close collaboration with company's IAH and US Analytics teams to help solve key business problems with solutions that are powered by data and analytics. This newly created role will be working in a consulting model and develop analytic solutions focused on enabling company's growth and profitability. This role is primarily an IC role but will mentor a team of analytics/data science professionals aligned directly or indirectly, working on same or other projects.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

- Lead analytics project assignments from scoping to delivery and solve business problems through basic to advanced analytics/data science streams, as applicable

- Develop customized analytics and data science solutions, catering to business objectives and priorities

- Work hands-on to drive insights from data, using analytic techniques with actionable recommendations to enable effective decision making and proactively exhibit thought leadership

- Develop POCs using advanced analytics, machine learning, data science tools, methods, and models

- Build strong relationships with US and IAH teams to drive and measure business outcomes

- Acquire proficiency with different data tools, software, techniques to improve current capabilities and to create new analytics and data science solutions

- Deliver projects adhering to timelines, accuracy & compliance with meticulous project management

- Mentor team members on analytical, technical, functional skills and guide them build progressive thinking towards fulfilling their career objectives - Drive internal initiatives, perform other duties and/or special projects, as assigned

Qualifications / Requirements: - Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or any other quantitative streams

- 5+ years of analytics/data science experience, preferably in Financial Services Industry

- Minimum 4 years of hands-on SAS/SQL programming experience

- Minimum 3 years of experience in leveraging data/analytics to drive strategy with positive outcomes

- Advanced skillset in Excel and PowerPoint

- Good working knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau, SAS VA, etc.

- Good applied statistical skills, including knowledge of statistical tests, distributions, regression, maximum likelihood estimators, etc.

- Strong written/oral communication & stakeholder management skills

- Proven ability to independently deliver analytical solutions for business problems - Experience in mentoring analysts

Desired Qualifications: - Experience in presenting to clients and senior leaders with strong communication skills, Innovative mindset that looks to improve current capabilities and discover new ones

- Experience in working with Python and R, preferably in a Linux-based cloud environment such as AWS

- Knowledge of ML methods like k-Nearest Neighbors, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc. Knowledge of multivariable calculus and linear algebra with predictive performance or algorithm optimization techniques, Understanding of macro-economic Conditions
