Avaada - Senior Role - Business Development - Energy Trading

Role & responsibilities:

- New Customer Acquisition for supply of Open Access Power to various Commercial & Industrial clients.

- To identify and conclude business opportunities for Open Access Power supply to various utilities and government organizations.

- Participation and preparation of technical/commercial bid documents for tenders of Open Access power supply.

- Ensure compliance of sales activities with internal business processes.

- Effective sales conversion with best possible profitability with low/moderate risk profiles.

- Exposure to derivatives trading will be an added advantage considering upcoming scenario for power derivatives

- Provide technical inputs in the formulation/ update of legislation, regulations, rules or by-laws as may be identified during project implementation as well as harmonization of the relevant rules and regulations required in effectively operating the competitive electricity market.

- Coordinate evidence-based analysis on regional electricity trade avenues that can enable actual trade of power

- Work with planning authorities in respective countries such as the Central Electricity Authority (CEA); transmission utilities; and Grid India in India to provide technical assistance for achieving company objectives

- Good Knowledge and hands on experience in Regulatory mechanism /rules for Energy trading.

- Electricity Act, Open Access regulations, Power Market Regulations, GNA Regulations, DAM,TAM,GDAM,GTAM, RTM, Regulations for setting up and operation of Trading divisions /Company. Obtaining trading licence from CERC Trading electricity especially RE in Power exchanges, market flexibility. Proficiency in landed cost assessment, applicable charges and scheduling. Exposure to VPPAs, CfD mechanism. Must have handled MUs of trading transactions

- Good Business relations with Customers, State Discoms, SLDC, Transco and regulatory bodies
