Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures tailored to the unique needs of the solar IPP company, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
2. Conduct regular security assessments and risk evaluations to identify potential vulnerabilities and threats to the company's assets, including solar farms, offices, and personnel.
3. Design and oversee the deployment of physical security measures, such as access control systems, perimeter fencing, surveillance cameras, and alarm systems, to deter unauthorized access and prevent security breaches.
4. Manage a team of security personnel, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation, to ensure they are equipped to handle security-related tasks effectively.
5. Coordinate with local law enforcement agencies, private security firms, and other relevant stakeholders to enhance the company's security posture and respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies.
6. Conduct investigations into security breaches, thefts, or other incidents, collaborating with internal teams and external authorities to gather evidence and take appropriate disciplinary or legal actions.
7. Develop and maintain relationships with community members, neighboring businesses, and government officials to foster a supportive environment for the company's security initiatives and address any concerns or issues proactively.
8. Stay informed about emerging security threats, technological advancements, and best practices in security management, and incorporate relevant updates into the company's security strategy.
9. Prepare and present regular reports on security performance, incidents, and compliance to senior management, highlighting areas for improvement and proposing actionable recommendations.
10. Oversee the implementation of crisis management and business continuity plans to minimize disruptions and ensure the company can respond effectively to unexpected events or disasters.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in security management, criminal justice, or a related field. Advanced certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) are preferred.
2. Proven experience in security management roles, preferably in the energy or utilities sector, with a track record of implementing effective security strategies and managing security teams.
3. Strong knowledge of security technologies, including access control systems, video surveillance, intrusion detection systems, and cybersecurity protocols.
4. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team of security professionals and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
5. Analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex security risks, develop mitigation plans, and make data-driven decisions to protect the company's assets and interests.
6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate security concepts and requirements to non-technical audiences and influence key decision-makers.
7. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and respond calmly and decisively to security incidents or emergencies, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
