Role title: Senior Assessment Officer

Reports to (position): Team Manager Customer Segment Team - Credit Assessment

Role purpose: The Senior Assessment Officer is responsible for providing sound decision making skills in the assessment of dual application involving business credit assessment applications, Mortgage applications & Unsecured products. Role will also involve assessment of International mortgage investment proposals, Company Home Loans etc with the focus being on timely, accurate and consistent credit decisions for new and increased lending requests.

This role provides service to internal and frontline customers by ensuring all necessary actions are conducted in a friendly and timely manner within agreed Service Level Arrangements.

Financial:

- Responsible for accurate and timely completion of Assessment of Dual assessment for varied products like Business, Mortgage, Unsecured & Complex mortgages applications

- Outcome of Quality Assurance checks demonstrates adherence to policies and procedures

- Develop and implement improvement and change initiatives which provide measurable business benefits

Financial:

- Improvement in Productivity and Quality Control measures

- Improvement in processes through initiative generation

- Quality measures to be above minimum standard

Customer:

- Target Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are consistently met.

- Provide a high level of customer service by accurately dealing with all enquires in a friendly and timely manner

- Provide an integrated service to customers & stakeholders. Makes self available to deal with problem issues.

- Provides coaching and guidance to frontline customers when required.

Customer:

- Supporting business goals / objectives and initiatives designed to improve customer experience

- Support business Service Level Agreements

- Approval rates to be in line with team average

Process:

- Consistent credit decision to balance commercial imperatives with risk appetite as supplied by Credit Risk team

- Exercise thorough credit worthiness assessment and sound decision making utilising CAD based on Group credit principles and policies

- Workshopping of credit applications with Frontline Stakeholders and Colleague

Process:

- Feedback from Credit Coaches, Frontline Managers and Hindsight Review Team

People:

- Work collaboratively with team to deliver excellent customer outcomes

- Provide support to other Aus Ops teams as needed to support business goals / objectives

- Actively participate in team meetings and discussions

People:

- Feedback from Frontline Stakeholders, Team Manager and Credit Superiors

- Development plan to be in place
