Astravise - Financial Controller - CA

Purpose Of the Role:

As a senior member of the finance function, the Finance Controller reports to the Chief Financial Officer and working closely with the founder, is responsible for managing the organization's financial and accounting operations (Financial Reporting, Planning and Analysis, Cash flow planning, Budgeting, Accounting, Audit, Taxation, Compliance, Internal Controls).

Roles & Responsibilities:

As the strategic partner to the Company financial operations, the Finance Controller responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Assist in preparing, analysing & reporting financials including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, working capital on a monthly/quarterly/Annual basis.

- Lead the preparation of Annual operating plan (AOP) and submit periodic forecast

- Conduct margin analysis and ensure working capital control in the BU

- Monthly/quarterly reporting, data analysis, segment reporting etc

- Ensuring compliance to statutory law, finance, export rules and tax regulations and oversight of legal, company secretarial laws, rules & regulations in India and overseas operations

- Ensuring robust internal control systems, creation and documentation of policies and procedures in place

- Working closely with the cross functional teams on various projects

- Lead a small team and provide mentorship to the team

- Lease with investors and support on their information requirements

- ERP implementation and digitisation of the finance function as when required.

- Point of contact for the external consultants and the auditors and provide them with the necessary information and ensure successful completion of work.

- Willingness to travel if required.

Desired Candidate Profile

Mandatory:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant

- 5 to 8 years of accounting and controlling experience in companies operating in challenging business environment

- Strong leadership and organizational ability to motivate teams, work cross functionally and manage strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures and practical experience of leading statutory Audits for companies

- High level of analytical, numerical ability coupled with sound reasoning and logical deduction skills

- Advanced computer software skills, including Excel and other accounting packages

Preferred:

- Driven personality with high energy levels to drive initiatives across multiple projects and stakeholders and under tight deadlines

- Experienced in ERP implementation & transitions
