- Provide guidance, support and independent assurance to Leadership in the remediation of controls, confirming whether they have been effectively designed, can be evidenced as operating effectively and are embedded.
- Meet the needs of key internal and external risk processes, reporting schedules, stakeholders and regulatory authorities in delivering assurance activities.
- Evaluate, report and escalate risks in line with risk and control frameworks.
- Provide an opinion as to whether risks have been fully mitigated and whether implemented controls are sustainable.
- Conduct risk assignments in line with Policies and Standards, associated tools / methods and quality levels ensuring compliance to Operational Risk framework(s) and emerging requirements.
- Contribute to the continued involvement and embedding of the target operating model for the Issue Closure Assurance team.
- Proactively manage Stakeholder expectations to promote an understanding and achievement of risk management objectives, ensuring awareness of responsibilities regarding risk and control.

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
- Knowledge of business or technology risk and control including relevant tools and techniques
- Proven experience of working within the finance industry / business or technology control frameworks and approaches
- Experience in one or more of the following - audit, Risk and Control, IT Security
- Strong knowledge of key areas in business or technology risk, including operations, change, security, resilience at both application and infrastructure layers
Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:
- Business/IT degree or equivalent
- Specialist Risk Qualification formal accreditation/qualifications relating to audit, risk and control e.g. CISA, CISSP, CISM, ITIL etc.
