Designation : Vice President Sales & Marketing Aftermarket Batteries (Automotive & Inverter).

Job Purpose :

- To driving business growth, P&L, market expansion, and revenue generation, profit expectations through effective sales strategies, marketing initiatives, and brand positioning.

Principle Accountabilities:

Sales and Strategic Planning:

- Develop and implement the overall sales and marketing strategy in line with the company's short-term and long-term goals.

- Lead market research to identify new opportunities, emerging trends, and key customer segments within the Battery industry.

- Set revenue, profitability, and market share targets; establish metrics to measure and improve performance across regions and product lines.

Revenue Growth & Profitability:


- Lead and manage the P&L for the aftermarket Batteries (Automotive & Inverter) division, ensuring revenue growth, cost efficiency, and profitability targets are consistently met or exceeded.

- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the revenue mix across product lines, distribution channels, and customer segments.

Budgeting & Financial Oversight:

- Develop and manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal resource allocation.

- Track sales revenue, marketing expenses, and profitability, providing regular reports and forecasts to the executive team.

Sales Management:

- Direct and manage the sales team, setting goals, and KPIs to drive performance.

- Ensure the development and execution of an effective sales.

- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, distributors, and channel partners to enhance product reach and optimize sales networks.

Marketing and Brand Development:

- Oversee the development of a strong brand identity for the filter products, ensuring effective brand messaging across channels.

- Collaborate with product teams to create product positioning and value propositions that differentiate products from competitors.

- Lead and drive marketing campaigns, promotions, and digital marketing initiatives to enhance market visibility and support sales objectives.

Product & Market Analysis:

- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory requirements to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge.

- Analyse sales data, customer insights, and feedback to guide product development and refine the sales strategy.

- Work with R&D and product management teams to prioritize product innovation and ensure alignment with market needs.

Customer Relationship Management:

- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients to ensure high customer satisfaction and retention.

- Address escalated customer concerns and ensure prompt resolution of issues.

- Gather customer feedback for product improvement and innovation.

Team Development & Leadership:

- Recruit, train, and mentor high-performing sales and marketing teams, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

- Establish and implement training programs to enhance the skill set of team members and improve overall sales efficiency.

- Ensure cross-functional collaboration with other departments to streamline operations, from product development to customer support.

Skill & Knowledge:

- Experience 25 years to 30 years experience in Batteries (Automotive & Inverter) Industry.

- Qualified Bachelor in any discipline & MBA.

- Must have PAN India Geographical knowledge.

- Strategic Thinking: Ability to set and execute a vision for aftermarket sales and marketing that aligns with overall company goals.

- Leadership: Skilled in motivating and developing teams, fostering a results-oriented culture, and leading through change.

- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the filters aftermarket landscape, including competitors, customers, and product innovations.

- Sales Acumen: Strong background in sales management with a track record of achieving revenue targets.

- Analytical Skills: Proficient in data analysis to measure marketing ROI, customer engagement, and sales performance.

- Communication Skills: Effective at communicating across various levels within and outside the organization, including presenting to executives.
