Position Description: Associate Vice President/ Vice President (Finance)

Job Description

The VP (Finance) would be directly responsible for steering the financial direction of the company and undertake strategic financial planning and analysis, handle aspects of transactions/ investments and corporate finance. Depending on the experience of the candidate and the requirements of the company, the role would include the following -

Financial Planning & Analysis - Strong business partnering with the Business Leaders including -

- Partner with the business to influence strategic decisions that grow revenue, market share, profitability and achieve its top priorities

- Drive a robust forecasting process identifying risks, sensitivities, and underlying assumptions

- Manages financial processes end-to-end and works toward optimal practices.

- Provide business and financial leadership to optimize for overall profitability. Make and influence balanced decisions and trade-offs to optimize resources, maximize revenue returns and deliver peak gross margin and operating profit growth.

- M&A and Investor Relations - Manage global M&A, Investor relations and other related functions in the organization including -

- Manage relationships and generate leads with the external investment ecosystem, e.g., Investment banks, PE/VC funds and internal stakeholders, e.g., Business units, Practice Leads

- Jointly work with the Business leads to build a business case/investment case on potential acquisition opportunities for Executive Council and Board approval

- Manage and coordinate the deal process including leading evaluation, preparing financial models, developing deal structures, analyzing and preparing term sheets

- Develop and implement investment relations plan, manage investor community's perception of the company and incorporate their views in the development of corporate strategy

Corporate Finance - Create financial plans and strategies that support the overall business objectives including -

- Take accountability for aspects of financial stewardship and delivery of corporate finance

- Provide leadership to the Finance strategy, to optimize the company's financial performance and strategic position

- Ensure that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth

- Fund management - arrange for equity and debt financing for an optimal capital structure

Education and Experience

- Preferred qualification - an MBA from a premiere Tier 1 institute

- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience including experience in financial planning and analysis, M&A, fundraising and/ or corporate finance

- Having worked in a fast-moving and dynamic business environment, preferably in a senior corporate finance management position

- Preference to people from technology domain and greater understanding of the business

- Strong analytical skills, financial modeling, interpretation of numbers and finance fundamentals

- Well-rounded commercial and economic awareness

- Effective business communication, relationship management, and interpersonal skills

- Excellent planning, time management, decision making, presentation and organization skills

- High level of integrity and dependability

- Ability to deal with ambiguity in changing business requirements

- Confidence and fortitude to contribute as an integral part of the team
