Job Description:
- Client specializes in fashion e-commerce, offering over 300 diverse brands from high-end luxury labels such as Gucci, Versace, Valentino, Fendi, Balenciaga, and many more to mass fashion brands.
- Their portfolio includes products in categories such as Clothing, Shoes, and Leather Accessories, catering to various style preferences.
- Leveraging advanced technology, Aureus Group predicts market trends and consumer preferences to stay at the forefront of the fashion industry.
- Operating globally, they provide seamless shopping experiences in the USA, UK, UAE, and other regions
Role Overview:
- The candidate will be responsible for overseeing and streamlining end-to-end business operations, including technology, marketing, etc.
- Reporting directly to the leadership, this role acts as a vital bridge between functional managers, ensuring effective cross departmental collaboration, timely problem resolution, and adherence to company goals.
- The ideal candidate will bring robust leadership, strategic thinking, and executional excellence to drive operational scale and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Operations Management:
- Develop and implement operational strategies that align with company objectives and growth plans.
- Collaborate with department managers (Tech, Logistics, Marketing, Finance, etc.) to set measurable KPIs and ensure accountability.
- Oversee day-to-day operations with a focus on efficiency, quality, and scalability.
2. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Serve as the primary liaison between Directors and department managers, ensuring smooth information flow and clarity on deliverables.
- Lead regular ops reviews, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and foster a cohesive, high-performance culture.
3. Logistics & Supply Chain:
- Coordinate with logistics partners to optimize shipping, warehousing, and order fulfilment.
- Drive continuous improvements in supply chain operations to reduce costs and delivery times.
4. Finance & Compliance:
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance across geographies, including taxation, customs, data protection, and other relevant frameworks.
5. Technology & Automation:
- Work with the CTO/Tech team to identify process automation opportunities, integrations, and system enhancements.
- Support the rollout and maintenance of e-commerce platforms, operational tools, and data analytics.
6. Team Leadership & Development:
- Build, mentor, and manage a cross-functional operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
- Establish clear performance goals, track progress, and facilitate professional development opportunities.
7. Growth & Scalability:
- Partner with founders on strategic projects related to business expansion, new supplier onboarding, market entry, or new product categories.
- Identify emerging operational challenges in an evolving global market and proactively develop solutions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- MBA from a Top-Tier Institution (IIMs, ISB, XLRI, SPJIMR, FMS, or equivalent).
- Significant relevant experience in operations management.
- Experience: 2-8 years in operational or leadership roles (startup/ecommerce/retail or management consulting experience preferred).
- Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to lead teams, manage cross functional projects, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Comfortable with data analysis, financial metrics, and designing operational frameworks.
- Technical Acumen: Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, ERP/SCM systems, and basic tech integrations is a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Quick decision-maker who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous, high-growth environments.
- Remote-Ready Mindset: Excellent self-management, collaboration, and communication skills, especially in a remote setup.
