Role Summary:
The AVP (Investment Banking) will be responsible for advising clients in raising private equity and structured credit, as well as in M&A deals, specifically for the road sector. The role will include handling transactions related to Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) projects and Infrastructure Investment Trusts (InVITs).
Role & Responsibilities:
- Front-end investment banking role focused on the road infrastructure sector, covering end-to-end deal activities from origination to closure for transactions involving equity, M&A, and structured credit.
- Interaction with various stakeholders such as clients, investors, lenders, legal firms, and consultants.
- Identify trends and potential opportunities to build an active business pipeline.
- Conduct in-depth industry analysis to understand key drivers and business models, identifying potential clients.
- Financial analysis and valuation of road infrastructure projects, including HAM and InVIT structures.
- Prepare teasers, pitch books, information memorandums, management presentations, and financial models.
- Articulate deal USPs through PowerPoint presentations.
- Engage with PE/VC funds, strategic investors, private credit funds/AIFs, and special situation funds to close deals.
- Facilitate comprehensive due diligence.
- Support execution of definitive agreements and deal closure.
- Guide and train analysts and associates.
Key Skills:
- Minimum three years of experience in any of the following: fund raising, project finance, corporate finance, investment advisory, or financial advisory, preferably in the road infrastructure sector.
- At least two years of experience in an investment banking role with exposure to advising clients in private equity and M&A deals.
- Strong understanding of HAM and InVIT structures.
- Education: MBA (Tier-1 or Tier-2 B-Schools) with a focus on finance, or CA, or CFA.
- Expertise in corporate finance, financial modelling, and financial statement analysis.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
