Overview

This particular role is within the US GM Sales CAO/Business Mgmt team that is being newly set-up under the broader GM Business Management team (GM CAOs). The Business Managers play a strategic role in delivering the Global Markets business agenda. They work extensively with Business Heads to drive their strategy, execute the business plans and run the floor. They are the face of business for the various Corporate Functions and are responsible for implementing the business policies.

Position Specifications:

Corporate Title - Associate/Vice President

Experience - 6 - 10 years of relevant experience

Qualification - MBA from Tier 1 B-school, CA, Masters/Bachelor's degree in business/finance / economics or similar field from a top tier university

Timing - EMEA (to ensure sufficient overlap with US New York Time)

Role & Responsibilities:

- We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our fast paced and growing Global Markets US Sales CAO - Business Management team, based in Powai, Mumbai, which will collaborate closely with the US Global Markets Business Management team.

- The individual will partner with Business Heads and Senior Management across Sales, Trading, Structuring and Research to drive key business initiatives with a focus on client franchise growth, long term business expansion, and overall business positioning

- The individual will play a key role in liaising with Sales Heads and Sales teams in formulating, Client strategy, Client wallet sizing and Revenue pool trends for the US Global Markets business

- The individual will assume day-to-day responsibilities which will contribute towards business management, performance monitoring, managing infrastructure/ processes which support US GM Sales

- The individual may be required to lead a team of 2-3 Business Managers based in Powai

- The role provides wide exposure into Equities and Fixed Income Markets for Institutional clients

- The role would require working with Global Market - Sales, Trading, Structuring, and Research and also with all the GM Corporate functions - Compliance, Treasury, Legal, Finance, Middle Office, IT and Product Control

- The role may potentially require to travel to US for short periods for working with regional COOs to support key strategic initiatives

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Business Analysis, Management Presentations

- Independently drive strategic initiatives with Sales/Product Desk Heads using data-backed actionable insights focusing on dimensions like revenue trends, product & segment penetration, wallet-share analysis, hit-miss analysis, client onboarding analysis etc.

- Strategic assessment of outperforming/underperforming businesses using client analytics and market/business dynamics to suggest recommendations for business heads

- Prepare management presentations to summarize revenue, expenses, resource consumption and other management reporting metrics

- Prepare presentations for senior management board meetings, investor day, off- sites, town Halls

- Participate in annual sales budgeting exercise for the Regional and Global business by performing historical revenue analysis and bottom up revenue forecasting

- Prepare periodic business summaries covering financial metrics as well as business commentary for Senior Management

Stakeholder Management

- Proactive in working with Regional COOs and Business Heads

- Crisp and concise communication with all stakeholders

- Strong sense of ownership and dedication towards timely deliverables

Owning and Driving key business initiatives to achieve GM business objectives

- Setup appropriate infra and support systems to monitor progress

- Coordinate with various corporate functions to ensure seamless execution

Partnering with Technology, Operations, Finance, other Corporate functions

- Own day to day issues pertaining to various corporate functions and ensure closure

Control and Conduct

- Owning Audit points and business continuity management (BCM) plan for the unit

- Expense approval, tracking and expense management

Team, Talent Management

- Day to day workflow management and mentorship of direct reportees

- Contribution towards people management, recruitment and training.

Skill Set:

Mandatory Desired

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in building strong relationships with key stakeholders at senior levels

- Good Knowledge of Capital Market products and asset classes (Fixed Income, Equities, Forex, Derivatives)

- Strong Analytical and Problem solving skills

- Good project management skills - planning, coordination/ execution, stakeholder mgmt

- Is entrepreneurial and independent; self-starter, takes ownership, exhibits integrity, strong motivation and attention to detail

- Ability to prioritize high volumes of deliverables across multiple disciplines working under pressure

- Ambition and enthusiasm to succeed in this challenging role.

Desired

- Prior experience in strategy roles would be an added advantage

- Prior experience of driving initiatives in the Global Markets space, experience of working on cross-functional projects

- Knowledge of Business, Intelligence tools like Power BI, Tableau etc. would be an added advantage
