Role Overview and responsibilities:
- Lead a multi-domain team of 40+ Analysts and Data scientists working across Commercial, Business Operations, Customer Care, Energy Hedging and Customer Analytics
- Grow existing account by identifying latest demand and create proposals/lead sales pitch meetings
- Make critical decisions and guide the core team on the workstreams
- Act as first point of contact for client senior leadership team
- Define, track and analyse metrics and measures for project performance
- Assist in learning and development of new team members
- Enhance value proposition and balance out requirements with cost to maximize the value proposition to the customer
- Identify potential data-driven ML solutions to business challenges that improve user experience through personalisation and prediction of user preferences
- Act as thought leader SME within the organization and utilities industry, represent organization on various platforms, publish research paper/blogs
- Understand and analyse impact of various technologies in areas of Data, Cloud, emerging technologies etc.
- Assist in creating monthly business review packs and present it to senior leadership team of
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply
- 5+ years' analytics experience and 3+ years' project/team management experience is a must
- Prior experience in pricing analytics is preferred
- Prior hands-on experience in propensity modelling and forecasting is a must
- Strong hard skills on various analytical tools R, Python, Power BI (DAX), Excel/VBA is a plus
- Prior experience in driving client engagements and programs. Experience in dealing with clients on a day to day basis and managing client interactions independently is a must
- Robust knowledge of key functional areas utilities industry
- Well organized, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task with great follow up skills
- Strong communication and presentation (including PowerPoint) skills to clearly communicate thoughts/work to senior level clients or internal management
- Ability to use business judgement and a structured approach towards solving complex problems
- Able to understand cross cultural differences and can work with clients across the globe
- Proficient user of Microsoft suite (advanced excel, PowerPoint and word)
- Good business awareness, understanding the broader context in which delivery has an impact on overall business performance
- Confident leadership and influencing style, being able to make an immediate impact with client stakeholders
