About our Client - Our client is one of the largest investment banks in the world and is looking to rapidly expand its presence in India with new roles and business functions being brought in from overseas.

Job Description - Reporting into the Risk Lead, you shall be part of the trade exposure & overwrites team. This team is responsible for working closely with the Front Office to facilitate trading within the given credit parameters. Your key responsibilities shall include:

- Act as a primary point of contact for the Front Office in all credit risk related questions for specific

- Credit products and provide trade pre-deal facilitation, calculation and approval

- Work with the sales and trading functions to consider ways in which transactions can be structured so that resultant risk exposures remain limit compliant

- Seek limit excess approvals from controlling credit units where necessary

- Act as a SME for the credit trading products and ensure that exposures reported in the Credit Systems are an accurate reflection of the risks the Bank is running

- Maintain a broad understanding of the Credit Markets and the key commercial drivers and risk factors that affects the business on a day to day basis

- Ensure that the Credit Control function that supports the Front Office operates with appropriate control, reporting and monitoring processes to ensure effective risk management is maintained at all times

- Provide timely and accurate credit figures for live deal clearance to Front Office Sales and Trading

The Successful Candidate - B.Tech/M.Tech/MBA with 5+ years of experience in the Investment Banking domain

- Professional certifications like CFA & FRM are preferred

- Strong understanding of credit risk controls and experience across trade, collateral, valuation, pricing, etc

- Excellent understanding of the global markets product set including Equities, Derivatives, Treasury, Fixed Income and Banking

- You should have a strong control background with good understanding of credit/market risk

- You should also have solid experience in controls in the trading environment

- Strong leadership skills, experience in leading projects and effective management of senior stakeholders along with strong communication skills are needed
